The Kadima 4th and 5th graders have started their educational travel to Sacramento today! After meeting bright and early at the airport this morning, they arrived in Sacramento and immediately started their day with a tour of the State Capitol and a visit with State Senator Fran Pavley. After lunch, they departed for Caloma, 40 miles Northeast of Sacramento and home to Earthtrek Expeditions (Visit http://www.earthtrekexpeditions.com for more information about Earthtrek). Earthtrek is based on the American River and is where gold was discovered in 1848 and kicked off the California Gold Rush. This afternoon, students will engage in a Pioneer Woman Presentation and a Mountain Man Presentation, have dinner at Earthtrek and will then be heading back to their hotel. Please be sure to enjoy the pictures below, showing a bit of the adventures that the students are experiencing.
