AstroCamp Day 1: Post #3

Thank you to our chaperones for the continuous stream of pictures from AstroCamp.  Apparently it is currently snowing at AstroCamp and students are enjoying the winter weather!

This afternoon, the students had the opportunity to participate in a cosmic lander activity, which included a lesson in gravity and a simulation of the Mars rover landing.  The water balloons  they are throwing over the balcony in the pictures below were part of the gravity lesson.  They will also spend time learning about light and lasers through the afternoon.  One of the pictures below shows light being deflected through a prism. The "rainbow" created and shows the various colors being split.

Be sure to follow the Kadima Travel Blog for updates of the learning and exploring at AstroCamp!
