AstroCamp: Day 3 - Heading Home

4th and 5th graders started their day by packing their belongings and heading to breakfast. This was followed by time in the planetarium, before boarding the bus and heading back the Kadima.  Overall, the group had an amazing learning adventure.

AstroCamp Day 2: Rocket Building

Please enjoy the pictures below of the rocket assembling, which occurred earlier in the day:

AstroCamp: Day 2 - Post 2

The 4th and 5th Grades are having an amazing day at AstroCamp.  They started their day with time in the swimming pool, learning about microgravity and weightlessness.  The afternoon session will focus on rocketry.  In this class, the students will begin by learning about forces and Isaac Newton’s three laws of motion. Students will help demonstrate each law using unique tools and making everyday connections. Next, students will use their new knowledge of how motion works to create their own rockets out of a two liter bottle. In the next class period students will launch their rockets using water and pressurized air on our specially designed rocket launching field.
